Preparing for a crown takes two visits to your prosthodontists. At the first appointment, we numb your tooth and remove any decay that may be present. Then, we shape the tooth to allow for an ideal fit for the crown. An impression is taken so your permanent crown can be created by the dental lab. A temporary crown is placed over your tooth until your next visit.

At the second visit, we will remove the temporary crown. Then, we carefully ensure an ideal fit and color match before cementing your new crown into place.
